Everything you want to know about Spext

Spext is a completely free web application that allows you to share text, links, and files quickly, simply, and securely. You can create content in seconds without any sign-up and share it with anyone using just a unique 4-character code.

When creating a share, you can choose from 15 minutes, 1 hour, 6 hours, 1 day, 7 days, or Forever. Once your selected time expires, the content is automatically and permanently deleted from our database.

The maximum upload size for a single file is 25MB. This limit is enforced to maintain the free-tier quotas of our Firebase cloud infrastructure.

All your shares are stored securely in the modern Google Firebase cloud database. All data transfers across our pages are conducted via HTTPS encrypted connections. However, we advise against sharing highly sensitive, confidential, or personal information (IDs, credit cards, etc.).

When you enter a long link in the 'Link' tab and share it, Spext generates a unique 4-character code for you (e.g., AB12). The shortened link generated with this code (?c=AB12) automatically and quickly redirects visitors to the target URL.

Yes! Unlike other similar platforms, Spext offers full password protection support. By enabling 'Password Protection' and setting a password before sharing, you can guarantee that only users with the correct password can view your content.

There are no file type restrictions on our application. You can safely share all file formats including PDFs, images, videos, audio, archive files (zip, rar), or code documents (max 25MB).

If you enabled the 'One-Time View' option, your shared content is completely and permanently deleted from the database as soon as it is opened once. Otherwise, all shares are automatically deleted when their selected expiration duration ends.

No, there is no limit on the total number of shares you can create. However, because our service operates within free hosting quotas, temporary service disruptions may occur in cases of excessive or abusive use.
